The Local Area
Cosynook Holiday Cottage is perfectly located in the pretty village of St Erth, in the stunning county of West Cornwall in an area called West Penwith.
The cottage proves an ideal base for touring the Western Peninsula of Cornwall, the haunting beauty of Land’s End, the cultural wealth of St Ives, glorious beaches, Celtic traditions and an abundance of sporting, and leisure facilities are within easy reach of St Erth.
Close to the village are opportunities for fishing, walking, bird watching, 18 hole golf, tennis, bowls, boating, sailing, horse riding, pitch and putt and many well known gardens. The Eden project is not far, and with the peaceful St Erth countryside this offers a relaxing holiday, with the privacy of your own cottage garden, an excellent sunbathing retreat.
Within a 10 minute drive you can reach the north coast (Hayle and St Ives) and the south coast ( Marazion, St Michaels Mount) Hayle has 3 miles of golden sand, St Ives is a “must see” village Marazion with St Michaels Mount, in the stunning Mounts bay, with Wind surfers and kite surfers in the sea all year round,
Not far away we have the rugged North Coast with the remains of the Cornish Tin mining heritage.
The city of Truro and marine mecca of Falmouth are only a short drive away.
Cosy Nook is in the center of this quiet village, with a main train service not far away and a bus service that stops in the village.
Travel by car
Come into Cornwall on the A30 and then turn left at the sign, St Erth railway station. This you will find as you exit the round about at the end of the Hayle bypass your sat nav will bring you into the village, and you will find us 100yds pass the pub just off Church Street.
We also have an air port at Newquay with links to London and other centers. A pick up can be arranged.
The Train service is from Paddington, on the 125 Fast trains, which go through Reading, Bristol and Exeter.
